BULLETIN 16 -THE FLAME OF THE HEART

Greetings to everyone. This heading describes a characteristic of a deeply Christian person. That is those who have developed a very good relationship and communication with our Heavenly Father. Not everyone obtains the flame but it is our ultimate goal. It is God's ultimate design for each of us, but because we are individualized it may be different for each person -hence we need to be less judgemental of others faiths. " Let there be pain, let there be suffering. Go through the dark night and you will reach a beautiful sunrise. Only in the womb of night does the sun develop, only in the dark of night does the morning come. " OSHO In the Old Testament, especially in the book of Lamentations and the Psalms, we become acquainted with much more on lamentations and it is a pity that some avoid it, the very loving advice from God. The stories concern those who realize that they have sinned and give fervent prayers for the forgiveness of God. See Psalm 25 and also others. King David is the greatest of Israel's kings, one of the most prominent figures in the history of the world, the peak of biblical characters, the most famous ancestor of Christ, thus he is the son of David, not of Abraham or Jacob. In his less glorious days David was tempted to commit adultery, one of the cardinal sins. He then planned to have the woman's husband killed, though this man was innocent of any disloyalty to him or crime. Tragic though these circumstances were, David's sincere contrition and remorse earned him forgiveness and he went on to better things before lapsing again. David had earned a severe rebuke when he allowed his people to drift away to other Gods and sin. Some Protestants have been accused of under-estimating the importance of education on lamentations; our brethren from the Eastern Othodox and Roman Catholic Churches say they know better as it fits in with some aspects of theirs. See Psalm 29, Lamentations cht 5.

We can not measure the depth of God's passionate love, patience and forgiveness, bringing a fervour of the Holy Spirit to us, (his creation). God deserves our love and sincere devotion and endless praise for his grace and blessings to us. Often we admit in prayer that we lack a positive attitude to God and it becomes a topic of our prayers and devotions that we improve. Let us hope that we do not fall into being un-devotional through bad habits and a lack of self-discipline. Beside that we need to pray with a knowledge of how to do so effectively. Psalm 31. In conclusion it is suggested not to be afraid of lamentations- also to read the Psalms if not doing so now, it will be a mighty read..

Blessings to all, srd.
